Cancellation policy
Right of withdrawal for consumers
Consumers are generally entitled to a right of withdrawal.
A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor their independent professional activity (§ 13 BGB).
Exclusion of the right of withdrawal for event services
The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the provision of services in connection with leisure, trade fair or event services if the contract provides for a specific date or period for the provision of services (Section 312g (2) No. 9 BGB).
This includes in particular:
the booking of stand space and exhibition space
Stand accessories and trade fair-related additional services
Marketing and advertising services (e.g. marketing boosters)
Additional exhibitor or admission tickets
The services offered are directly related to the KNIFE event and are fixed in terms of time and organisation.
Therefore, there is no right of withdrawal, even for consumers.
Binding nature of the booking
By completing the booking, the exhibitor expressly acknowledges that: this is a binding, chargeable booking, the services are time-bound and event-related, revocation or cancellation is excluded, no refund – even partial – will be made unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
